Real Madrid appears ready to finally forgive David Beckham. The team became outraged when they found out that their star player had decided to sign with a Major League Soccer team in the United States last month. Real Madrid's coach became so angry that he told Beckham that he would no longer be allowed to play with team. All Beckham wanted to do was play soccer. It appears that he will finally get that chance.

After being left off the team roster for a little more than a month, Real Madrid has decided to add Beckham back to the team. He is listed on the roster for their upcoming game on Saturday Real Sociedad. This is exciting news for a team that has struggled to get wins without their leader. Even though Beckham's skill level has greatly decreased over the past few years, his overall importance to the team is far greater. He is a soccer sports icon that is loved worldwide. His appearance Saturday will most likely give the team energy and fire that has been missing.

The decision to let Beckham return to the team is rather shocking. It appeared that his career was truly over with Real Madrid. The two parties were in deep negotiations on a two-year contract extension. While negotiating, the LA Galaxy decided to make a deal that Beckham simply could not refuse. He received a contract offer that is rumored to total $250 million. Beckham quickly signed the contract and outraged his coach and team. Real Madrid's head coach Fabio Capello stated that the former English captain would never again play for the team after his announcement to sign with the LA Galaxy.

It appears that the parties have been negotiating to allow Beckham to play out the rest of his contract. This turn of events benefits both parties. Beckham will be allowed to play the game he loves and remain in shape for the upcoming Major League Soccer season. Real Madrid will get back their emotional English leader. They are hoping that they can end the season on a high note. Both parties want to pay respect to one another. They understand that they are better together than without each other.

On May 16, 2005 Sony held an exciting press conference in Los Angeles California. Sony offered the world its first look of its next-generation gaming system, the PlayStation 3 . Sony CEO Kaz Hirai called it a “supercomputer for computer entertainment.”

The hardware of the PlayStation 3 was simply described as “enormously powerful.” Sony's new system would be capable of delivering video content in full high definition, at resolutions of up to 1080p(*), which is the most detailed resolution currently supported. The Cell processor, a joint project between Sony, Toshiba, and IBM, would be the most powerful processor ever delivered for a gaming system, comprised of 7 separate processing units, each working simultaneously.

The system would be backwards compatible with PS2 and PS1 disc format. The PlayStation 3 would also use Blu-ray discs for its media. Blu-ray is a disc format that can hold almost six times as much data as current DVDs can. Also, DVD, and CD-ROM would be supported.

The graphics chip inside the PS3 would be the most powerful chip available on the market. Based on nVidia technology, the chip would

feature 512 MB of graphics memory, and 300 million transistors. In comparison, the most powerful GeForce video card for PCs could not perform even half as well.

The PS3 would also feature wireless rechargeable USB controllers, with motion detecting technology. And the system would be capable of downloading content from the internet via WiFi or ethernet connection, and storing it on a 20 or 60 gig hard drive.

The demonstration of the power of the PS3 at E3, the largest gaming convention in the world, created great anticipation for its release in the upcoming Fall. The release of such a dramatically new and complicated gaming system would demand updated knowledge and understanding from the public that would soon own it.

Many questions since then have been brought up about what the PS3's exact capabilities were, when the PS3 would be come available, how it would integrate older PlayStation games, differences between the two release versions, whether one could play games on a regular TV instead of an HDTV, and much more.

What is a PS3?

A. The PS3 is the latest console release by Sony. It is the most technologically advanced gaming console yet. The Sony PlayStation 2 is its predecessor, and before that was the Playstation. These were both very popular and advanced for their time. The PS3 is a computer system capable of playing not only video games, but also DVDs, Blu-Ray DVDs, internet access and content downloading , video chat, digital photo viewing, digital video, audio, and much more.

Q: When did the system come out?

A: The system launched worldwide in Japan on November 11, 2006. In North America the PS3 came out on November 17, 2006. Europe and Australia/Asia must wait until March of 2007 to get the system.

Q. Why is there so much hype over the PS3?

A. The PS3 looks more like a real computer system than any of its predecessors. The PS3 has similar functionality to a PC in the sense that it can play DVDs, browse the internet, download music, video conference, and receive external USB devices. Its hardware is at the very top of the line even when comparing the best PCs. It is a mini supercomputer for gaming, and its Blu-ray disc drive is very valuable.

Q. Why is the PS3 so expensive?

A. The PS3 should actually cost more than what it currently does. The PS3 is somewhat more expensive than other consoles because it has so many features that other previous consoles do not have. The hardware used in the PS3 is more expensive than the actual cost on the system; Sony loses an estimated 200 dollars per console sold. The 20 GB PS3 is a value when considering its hardware because many Blu-ray DVD players right now are currently more than the $500 cost of the 20 GB system, which comes with a Blu-ray player.

How powerful is the PS3 compared to other systems?

A. The PS3 is twice as powerful as the Xbox 360 and 35 times more powerful then the PS2. It is also much more powerful than the Wii.

Q. What are the differences between the 20 GB and 60 GB versions of the PS3?

A. The 20 GB Version and 60 GB Versions are EXACTLY the same EXCEPT for the following 3 features:

1. Hard drive space. The 60 GB Version has 40 gigs more space and will be able to hold more content.
2. Wireless capability. The 60 GB version is capable of supporting wireless internet, while the 20 GB version is not.
3. The 60GB system include inputs for Memory Stick, SD and Compact Flash cards. These cards are inserted through a flip-up door on the front. These are memory cards typically used in cameras, and with this input you'll be able to transfer images straight from your digital camera to your PS3.

Q. Are these differences enough for me to purchase the 60 GB version for 100 dollars more?

A. The 20 GB version of the PS3 is capable of supporting wireless through a USB adapter purchased separately, and the hard drive can be upgraded on both versions. The ability to read camera memory? You can also get a USB adapter for this on the 20 GB version.

Q. Can you get camera memory card support on the 20 GB Version?

A. Yes, there are external adapters that you can buy on the market that will allow your PS3 to read memory cards. They should connect to your PS3 via USB.

Q. Can you get a larger hard drive on the 20 GB Version?

A. Yes, you can upgrade the hard drive on the PS3 just like you would on a regular computer, by buying a larger hard drive. The hard drive the PS3 uses is the same as a PC ATA hard drive. You can either keep or sell the old one.

Q. Can you get WiFi on the 20 GB Version?

A. Yes. Although the 20 GB version does not come with WiFi, you can purchase separately a wireless USB adapter and plug it into a USB port on the 20 GB version to connect your PS3 to a wireless network.

Q. Which Console is better? The PS3, Xbox 360, or Nintendo Wii?

A. Better depends on what you're looking for. If you want the most advanced hardware, then go for the PS3. If you're a Nintendo fan, and enjoy their own gaming line with games like Mario and Zelda, you should get the Nintendo Wii. The Xbox 360 offers a great combination of price to performance as well. It all depends on what you are looking for in a system, and whether that system supports the particular games that you want to play. Just know that no other system on the market is as versatile in hardware than the PS3. If you have a game preference that can only be found on Nintendo of Xbox
